The rated (V1) and the minimum (Vmin) voltages as declared by the ballast manufacturer are

then in steady conditions at Vmin.

be retained and shall reach at least the declared EBLF.
) w+ C+ ~3 W9 w) o$ M2 ?: FThe value measured at 5 s and V1 shall reach at least 50 % of declared EBLF.

As declared EBLF must be reached after 0,5 s, measurements at 5 s are not considered.2 l+ b/ b+ V; g) @7 W0 R1 k
Any test circuit corresponding to that of Figure 1 can be used to make the measurement of EBLF. The luminous flux of a lamp is usually measured with an integrating photometer. For ratio measurements of luminous fluxes, a suitable illuminance meter is sufficient as there is a close relationship between luminous flux and illumination at a fixed point.
$ \" i0 K7 T0 z1 h! @6 wNOTE Other methods may apply for determining EBLF in particular methods which record permanently the luminous flux of the lamp associated to the ballast under test.
