This requirement does not apply to the insulation or sheath of flexible cords or internal wiring.

The test is carried out at a temperature of 40 °C ± 2 °C plus the maximum temperature rise3 E# n8 ^$ Q% a; p5 u& z' t
determined during the test of clause 11, but it shall be at least
$ B( k1 ?- ~# a– 75 °C ± 2 °C, for external parts;
9 c$ t. t* N- ^# A3 \– 125 °C ± 2 °C, for parts supporting live parts.

) _0 T1 \5 ]: F- T# I/ Jreinforced insulation, the test is carried out at a temperature of 25 °C ± 2 °C plus the2 m9 \( k+ Z8 p+ y" C* b
maximum temperature rise determined during the tests of clause 19, if this is higher. The, P/ @3 h% M& g1 Y( C6 l
temperature rises of 19.4 are not taken into account provided that the test is terminated by, u7 a0 `# Q5 H. _
the operation of a non-self-resetting protective device and it is necessary to remove a, x+ _ L2 V% E: y" m
cover or use a tool to reset it.
