7.10 An opening in the enclosure that has a minor dimension of less than 1 inch (25.4 mm) is acceptable

7.11 An opening that has a minor dimension of 1 inch (25.4 mm) or more, in an enclosure, as illustrated
in Figure 7.3, is acceptable if, within the enclosure, there is no uninsulated live part or film-coated wire
less than;
! F  _9 i8 u! k9 U/ v0 [a) R distance from the inside edge of the perimeter of the opening and
b) X distance from the plane of the opening.
T equals the enclosure thickness, R equals X minus T, and X equals 5 times the diameter of the largest
round rod that can be inserted through the opening but not less than 6-1/16 inches (154 mm). In
evaluating an opening, any barrier located within the volume is to be ignored unless it intersects the
boundaries of the volume in a continuous, closed line.

Ｂ）距开口外表面Ｘ距离的范围内

没有任何未绝缘带电体或者漆包线，则认为是可接受的．

Ｔ为外壳厚度，Ｒ等于Ｘ－Ｔ，并且Ｘ应当等于最大可伸入开口圆棒直径的５倍但不应小于６－１／１６英寸．在评估开口时，任何挡板都应当被忽略除非该挡板在外壳上的投影可以和开口２边外壳形成一个连续封闭的线．
