( [4 [9 l. U! b+ u7 O9 xCapacitor casings of Certified X1, X2, X3, Y1, Y2 or Y3 capacitors to IEC 60384-14 may be

with their ratings. Therefore, these capacitors do not need to be provided with an additional,# b7 Y/ a/ s7 g! d2 o' M( J

Capacitor casings of X1, Y1, and Y2 capacitors Recognized to UL 1414 under Across-The-Line

ratings. Therefore, these components do not need to be provided with an additional, definable insulation level, such as Recognized Component – Tubing, when adequate clearances are not

Strength Test of 2000 V rms between live parts and case. Y1 capacitors are subjected to a 40009 h, U! r! _2 k: o+ Y6 a+ m
V test. (Y4 are only subjected to a 900 V test).
! W+ ], d0 I* S5 [9 P8 g0 ?For Recognized Component FOWX2 capacitors, UL 1414 now covers X1, Y1 and Y2 capacitors,3 j1 z2 }& h* u" l; \- L; B. b
and the minimum Electric Strength Test is 2000 V between live parts and case. Y1 capacitors
5 A. k' E8 Y8 {7 S2 K8 j# hare subjected to a 4000 V test.4 j7 C7 L' x0 Q. [
For Recognized Component FOKY2 capacitors, UL 1283 requires the insulation between live
3 W! H) s8 D- C7 ~6 @! S( Yparts and casing is required to pass a 2Vr+1500V (Vrating =< 250V) electric strength test.
